Metal braces remain a proven and reliable method for correcting dental alignment. Constructed from high-grade stainless steel, they use a system of brackets and archwires to apply measured pressure, guiding your teeth into their precise positions.

For your convenience, our practice offers same-day starts for braces following your initial consultation. This ensures your journey to a healthier bite begins without unnecessary delay.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces offer the same clinical efficacy as metal braces but with a more discreet appearance. The brackets are crafted from transparent material that blends with the natural shade of your teeth. These clear braces are often a preferred choice for adults and professionals who seek a more aesthetic approach to orthodontic care.

Today my daughter had her braces removed. Her teeth look amazing. The service and the staff were excellent. Five Star service from day 1 until the end.

As we all know, braces aren’t cheap in the short-game, but the results last a lifetime. My child was embarrassed to actually smile due to her teeth. Lakeside was a wonderful zero pressure option. Payment plans were very agreeable and easy to understand/set up. The staff is very warm and welcoming, you can tell there are years of vetted experience and they are going to streamline results.

We moved here from out of state and needed to continue orthodontic care, so we chose Lakeside Orthodontics since they worked with our existing plan—and I’m so glad we did.I truly couldn’t be more pleased with the care my daughter has received. The team has been wonderful every step of the way. When my son needed braces as well, we did look into offices closer to home since St. Paul is a bit of a drive for us. However, none of the other options fit our plan or gave us the same level of confidence as Lakeside. In my opinion, it is absolutely worth the drive. The staff is consistently kind, professional, and attentive, and they take great care of their patients. We’ve had a very positive experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality orthodontic care

Doctor Nesband, Ruby, and Ayanna—thank you all for your incredible work. You’ve truly transformed my life and my smile. I never imagined I would see the day where I’d fall in love with my smile.Over the years, I’ve seen three different smile doctors, but Doctor Nesband stood out by showing genuine care when others didn’t. He is patient, dedicated, and clearly passionate about what he does.Ruby has a natural gift for customer service—her kind spirit makes everyone feel comfortable and at home, while also showing what love and humility look like in action. Ayanna brings such a bright energy to every visit, always making us laugh with her warm, bubbly personality.I’m beyond grateful for everything this team has done. I wish I could still be in braces just so I can continue visiting such an amazing group of people!! Thank you all so much!

Which foods should I avoid?

To protect your brackets and wires, we recommend avoiding foods that are excessively hard, sticky, or crunchy. This includes items such as hard candies, caramel, and popcorn. For foods like apples or corn on the cob, we suggest slicing them into smaller, manageable pieces to ensure your treatment remains on track.

How do I maintain oral hygiene with braces?

Maintaining a clean environment for your teeth is vital. Rinse with water first to dislodge any debris, then brush at a 45-degree angle toward the gum line. It is important to brush both above and below the wire to ensure total cleanliness. We will demonstrate the precise flossing technique required to navigate around your appliances safely during your appointment.

Is the process uncomfortable?

While you may experience minor soreness immediately following an adjustment, this is a normal sign that your treatment is progressing. A saltwater rinse or over-the-counter relievers can provide steady assurance and comfort during these brief periods of transition.

What are Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs)?

For more complex bite corrections, our doctors may utilize TADs. These are small, temporary anchors that provide a fixed point in the mouth, allowing for more precise tooth movement without the need for traditional external headgear. Your orthodontist will determine if this technology is necessary for your specific case.

How long will treatment take?

The duration of care is determined by the complexity of your needs. Most patients complete their treatment within 12 to 24 months. During your first visit, we will provide a factual timeline based on your clinical evaluation.

What is the cost of braces?

The investment for braces is based on the type of appliance chosen and the length of care. We offer flexible payment plans to ensure expert orthodontic care is accessible for your family.
