Donte Nesbitt, DDS, MS

Dr. Donte Jochum-Nesbitt (Dr. Nesbitt) is a distinguished orthodontist who not only excels in his field but also strives to foster meaningful connections in his local community. Dr. Nesbitt is a proud Rock Island, IL native and he set educational milestones as the first in his family to graduate college.

Dr. Nesbitt’s passion for helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles came from his experience working as an orthodontic dental assistant in his early 20s. Motivated by this experience, he decided to further his education, pursuing a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Iowa. Post-dental school, he obtained an Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and master’s in Oral Biology (MS) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Highlighting his commitment to patient safety and innovation within the field, Dr. Nesbitt conducted groundbreaking research on orthodontic procedure aerosol generation and risk-mitigation strategies during his residency training.

Before joining us in Minnesota, Dr. Nesbitt practiced in Aspen, Colorado where he was an integral part of a boutique-style orthodontics practice. With a focus on providing a patient-centered experience, the practice specialized in catering to both children and adult patients emphasizing personalized care, convenience, and advanced treatment options to ensure that each patient received the highest standard of orthodontic care. Committed to delivering top-notch care with warmth and enthusiasm, Dr. Nesbitt values lasting relationships with his patients and their families. He is cheerfully married to his partner, Nathan, and they have a 13-year-old Yorkie they adopted together in 2020. Donte, Nathan, and Queenie are all thrilled to have found such a lovely, vibrant community to call home!
