Being a third-generation dentist, Dr. Galina Bulatova was determined to become an orthodontist and graduated summa cum laude from First Moscow Medical University in 2008. She went through two orthodontic residency programs: first in Moscow and then in the US, at University of Illinois at Chicago, where she won an award for clinical and academic excellence, and had practiced orthodontics for 15 years. The fact that Dr. Galina is a Board-Certified Orthodontist, Diplomate of American Board of Orthodontics and Diamond Invisalign provider is a testament to her skills and experience.
In addition, Dr. Galina is a Board-Certified Cognitive Specialist. Her work with children with special needs, particularly in customizing treatment for those with ADHD, anxiety and dyslexia shows a deep level of care that goes beyond just orthodontics. Dr. Galina has developed expertise in providing early treatment with Invisalign and was invited to different conferences in the US and Europe as a speaker.
Dr. Galina has been married for 16 years. Her husband, Dr. George, is an oral surgeon, working at the non-profit organization in Rochester and Minneapolis. Together they live in Woodbury, MN and share the joy of raising two children: Mark, an avid hockey player, who is 12 years old and Lillian, 11 months old. In her free time Dr. Galina enjoys exercising, cooking, exploring art museums and playing piano. It was her long-time dream to relocate to Minnesota and she is very happy to become a part of the Lakeside Orthodontics team.
